Images on Letter pages
US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches (215.9 × 279.4 millimetres, or 612 × 792 points). It is the standard paper size in the United States and Canada, and in some other countries in the Americas. This page starts with Letter selected, so each image gets its own Letter page.
Letter or A4?
Letter is slightly wider and shorter than A4. If you send a PDF to someone who prints on the other size, the printer will scale it or add margins, so choose the size that your reader uses. Use image to PDF A4 for the rest of the world.
| Page size | Millimetres | Inches | Points | Pixels at 300 dpi |

Legal size
Legal paper is 8.5 × 14 inches. Choose Legal in the page size list when a form or a contract is on the longer sheet.
Resolution for Letter pages
A Letter page at 300 dpi is 2550 × 3300 pixels. At 150 dpi it is 1275 × 1650 pixels. A phone photo is usually larger than this, so you can safely reduce the maximum image size to 3000 pixels to make the PDF smaller.
Margins
A margin of 10 mm is about 0.4 inch, which suits most printers. For documents that will be punched or bound, choose 20 mm.
