Free, and really free
Many converters are free only until you try to download. They add a watermark, limit the number of pages or files, ask you to sign up, or ask for payment to remove the limits. This tool does none of that:
- No watermark. The PDF contains your images and nothing else.
- No signup and no email address.
- No limit set by the tool on the number of images or the size of a file. The only limit is the memory of your device.
- No upload. The PDF is made in your browser.
Why no upload matters
Many free converters work by sending your files to a server. That means a copy of your images exists on a computer that you do not control, even if the site says that it deletes them. This is a real concern for scans of identity cards, bank statements, medical papers and contracts. Because this converter runs in your browser, there is no server copy.
How to use it
- Choose your images or drop them on the box.
- Put them in order and choose the page size.
- Press Create PDF and download it.
What you get
- JPG files go into the PDF without recompression by default, so there is no quality loss.
- PNG and other formats are saved as high quality JPEG, or kept lossless if you choose.
- Page sizes A4, Letter, Legal, A3, A5 or the size of the image, with margins and orientation.
- Reordering, rotating and removing images before you create the file.
Where the limits are
A free tool that runs on your device is limited by that device. Hundreds of full-size photos may need more memory than a phone has. If that happens, reduce the maximum image size, or make the PDF in two parts. The PDF is an image PDF, which means that the text in a scan is not searchable. For searchable text, you need an OCR program.
