How the age difference is calculated
The age difference is the time between the two dates of birth. The calculator finds the whole years, then the whole months, then the days. Two people born on 10 March 1990 and 25 June 1993 are 3 years, 3 months and 15 days apart. The result is the same on every day of their lives. The gap does not change, even though the ratio of their ages does.
What you get
- The age difference in years, months and days, and in total days and weeks.
- Who is older, and the age of each person today.
- The date on which the older person is exactly twice as old as the younger one, counted in days.
The day one person is twice as old
This day happens once. It falls when the younger person has lived as many days as the whole gap, which is the date of birth of the younger person plus the gap in days. For a gap of 3 years, that is when the younger person turns 3. Before that, the older person is more than twice as old. After it, less. If the older person is a year apart in age from the younger person, the date is the younger person's first birthday.
Names
You can type a name for each person, so the result reads clearly. The names are used only in your browser.
