These are common sizes as of 2026. LinkedIn can change them. Company pages have their own file limits, often cited as about 3 MB for logos and 4 MB for covers, so keep the files small. The tool has a size limit option for this.

Personal cover or company cover?

People say cover photo for both. On a personal profile LinkedIn calls it the background photo, and the size is 1584 × 396. On a company page it is the cover image, and the size is 1128 × 191. The two have different shapes, so an image made for one is cropped on the other. Make each one at its own size.

Where the logo sits on a company cover

The company logo overlaps the lower left of the cover. Keep text and graphics out of that corner. The cover is a thin strip, so short words in large type work best. The picture shows an approximate guide, not an official LinkedIn measurement, and the tool draws the same guide over your image.

How to make a company page cover

  1. Drop your image on the box above. The frame is already 1128 × 191.
  2. Drag and zoom to choose the part you want, or choose a fit that keeps the whole picture.
  3. Keep the message short and inside the dashed box, away from the logo square.
  4. Choose 2× for a sharper cover, and set Under 4 MB if you want to stay inside the limit.
  5. Download the cover and upload it from your page's edit screen.

Design tips for a cover

  • One short message or a simple brand image. The strip is too thin for a lot of detail.
  • Use your brand colors and make the text contrast strongly with the background.
  • Show people or products near the middle or right, not the lower left.
  • Check it on a phone, where the cover is shown smaller.

Common mistakes

  • Using a personal banner on a company page. The shape is different and it gets cropped.
  • Tall photos. A tall picture becomes a thin slice. Choose a wide image, or use the blurred background fit.
  • Text under the logo. It is hidden by the logo square.
  • Uploading a very large file. Company images have lower limits than personal ones.

How to change the cover on a company page

Open the page as an admin, choose Edit page and use the pencil on the cover image. The menu names can change, so look for the edit page option if you do not see them.
