HEIC to JPEG Converter

Convert .heic, .heif and .hif files to JPEG. The file name stays the same, only the extension changes.

Options

Drop HEIC photos here or paste with Ctrl+V

Up to 30 photos. HEIC, HEIF, JPG, PNG and WebP. Nothing is uploaded.

JPEG or JPG: is there a difference?

No. JPEG is the name of the format and .jpg is the short extension that older Windows versions needed. Both hold the same image, and every program that opens one opens the other. This converter saves files with the .jpg extension. If a form asks for .jpeg, rename the file after downloading, nothing else needs to change.

How to convert HEIC to JPEG

  1. Drop the .heic files on the box or choose them from your device.
  2. They are converted at full size as soon as they are added.
  3. Download each JPEG, or all of them in one ZIP. A file called IMG_4021.HEIC becomes IMG_4021.jpg.

Frequently asked questions

Is HEIC to JPEG the same as HEIC to JPG?

Yes. JPEG and JPG are two spellings of the same format. The converter gives you the same image either way.

Can I convert a .heif file here too?

Yes. .heif, .heic and .hif files are read the same way.

Does the JPEG keep the original file name?

Yes. Only the extension changes, so IMG_4021.HEIC becomes IMG_4021.jpg.

Why do my iPhone photos end in .HEIC?

iPhones save photos in the High Efficiency format by default to use less storage. The extension is written in capitals by iOS.
