Convert a file in three steps
- Choose a .json file, or drag it onto the box. You can also paste JSON into the editor.
- Check the validity message under the editor. If the JSON has a problem, it explains what went wrong.
- Press Download XML to save the result with the same file name and an .xml extension.
Your file stays private
The file is read and converted inside your browser. It is not sent to a server, which makes this suitable for configuration files and data you would rather not upload. Very large files depend on your device memory.
Examples to try
Use the example buttons to load a simple object, a list of records, or a document with attributes and text, and see how each converts. The records example is a good model for an export, such as a list of products.
Fixing invalid JSON
- Remove trailing commas after the last item.
- Use double quotes for keys and text, not single quotes.
- Quote every key.
- Remove comments, which JSON does not allow.
