Built for lists and files
Paste many lines, or open a text file, and every line is rotated while the line structure stays exactly as it was. A preview table shows the original next to the result, so you can check before you copy or download.
Skip lines you want to keep
Enter a prefix such as # or // in the skip box and any line that starts with it is left unchanged. That is handy for text files with comments or headings that should stay readable.
Opening a file
Choose a plain text file and it is read in your browser, never uploaded. Use the Download button to save the result as a new text file. Large files work, but the preview shows only the first 100 lines.
Typical uses
- Hiding the answers in a quiz or study sheet.
- Preparing a list of spoilers or hints.
- Obscuring a column of text before sharing a screenshot.
- Testing how a program handles ROT13 data.
Remember
ROT13 is reversible by anyone, so it is only for light obfuscation. To decode a converted file, open it here again and download the result.
For a single piece of text, use the ROT13 encoder, or check unknown text with the ROT13 decoder. The guide explains how the cipher works.
